I pumped for only about 6 months and it was definitely not easy.

----- Reply message -----Elita @ Blacktatinghttp://www.blacktating.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3536683374417960813.post-67696303275266313412011-03-18T06:05:38.727-04:002011-03-18T06:05:38.727-04:00I did not get a confirmation email when I complete...I did not get a confirmation email when I completed the survey. I'm very grateful to have an employer who is supportive. I nursed my first until he was almost 2 1/2 and my 2nd is still nursing at 16+ mos right now.

For the prior comment -- there are a lot of options for women who do have to return to work for pads, and a consistent pumping schedule helps a lot.

Not all moms have the choice to stay home, so it is great progress that states are passing legislation to aid the pumping mom, and that employers are accomodating it.Lisaannpetersonnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3536683374417960813.post-25660735063667242652011-03-17T16:33:33.739-04:002011-03-17T16:33:33.739-04:00I chose to be a stay at home mom, b/c I breastfed ...I chose to be a stay at home mom, b/c I breastfed my youngest for 22 months, and my oldest for 24 months. One of the biggest problems I encountered, is that you cannot predict when your milk is going to come in. Ugggh! All the milk stains in front of any shirt or dress I wore whenever I could not express. The benefits I loved were: no bottles, no formula, and no artificial milk for my beautiful children. Good luck to you all, and if I worked 9 to 5 I would have to use washcloths instead of breast pads to keep the milk from soiling your clothes. Be well, Melody.Melodynoreply@blogger.com
