I first heard about...That's really interesting. I first heard about the vibrator-curing-hysteria thing in a romantic suspense novel I read set in Victorian times, and at the time I was thinking it was a little over the top as a plot device, not realizing till later that it was historically based. Bizarre!<br /><br />I also would be interested in hearing of other treatments of American wet nursing.
