Many types of non soy baby formula are largely made with HIGH FRUCTOSE CORN SYRUP which is a major cause of heart disease, obesity and diabetes to name just a few. Soy contain phosphatidylcholine, which is one of the principle substances found in your cell membranes, and which is depleted as you age, making soy something that slows down the aging process. It seems the AAP is wording any statements on soy very carefully, but the essence seems to be avoid it if you can.Elitahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01294923997458681675noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3536683374417960813.post-67269875479475876402010-02-01T19:55:02.209-05:002010-02-01T19:55:02.209-05:00I'm also curious to see the research on men wh...I'm also curious to see the research on men who were fed soy. Soy contains phyto-estrogen in amounts similar to those in birth control pills used by full-grown adults (which is the theory behind why it seems to increase these risks in adult women). There are theories that soy formula has a negative effect on male fertility. I'm curious to see if that's the case. It would make sense, but I haven't seen research on it.Reizahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07411331845012114174noreply@blogger.com
